Viktoria Vinassac
Is a pastel artist based in the south of France
I’m an enthusiastic pastel artist based in Alès, France.
I was born in the Ural region of Russia. At 17, I moved to Prague, Czech Republic, where I earned my degree in English culture (Anglophone studies). After my studies, I worked as an English tutor and traveled extensively throughout Europe and Asia.

In 2023, I discovered my deep love for drawing with soft pastels. I also work with oil pastels, acrylics, and encaustic painting. Currently, in addition to pastel drawing, I work as a freelance illustrator.

I am a student of the renowned pastel artist Irina Klimova, who inspired my deep appreciation for pastels and their unique qualities. In 2024, I became a member of the Pastel Society of Périgord. In 2025, I joined the Cévennart Association in Alès.

My work focuses on expressive depictions of nature and light effects. I strive to make all my drawings highly emotional and enjoy experimenting with colors. I find quiet inspiration in the gentle light and fleeting moods of the French Impressionists—their colors echo softly through my work.

Starting in 2026, I am dedicating my time to drawing figures and portraits. I enjoy experimenting with color and exploring the possibilities of both soft and oil pastels. Let’s see where this journey takes me.
